About Us
Kara Burke brings more than three decades of green industry experience to Petals. She is also a featured TV spokesperson for the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC). You may have seen her on 9News along with other ALCC experts in recent summers chatting with Mark Koebrich during his “In the Garden” segments on Friday afternoons. Kara has also been in-studio representing ALCC on Saturday mornings sharing landscape tips on Channel 7 and giving mulching and pruning tips on “Everyday” with Libby and Natalie Show on FOX31.
The Colorado landscape is Kara’s specialty. Early in her career as owner of Burke Maintenance, she provided commercial landscape maintenance that included oversight of more than 80 acres of turf and tree care involving both pruning and pest/disease control. For 9 years, she served the Breckenridge Golf Club – a Jack Nicklaus signature course – as the course Landscape Gardener. She was responsible for designing and maintaining 10,000 sq. ft. of flowerbeds and an acre of wildflower plots as well as tree care throughout the course.
Kara also served recently as the first female sales representative for Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscape Care in their 58-year history. Her service area included the historic Denver Country Club and the Park Hill district.
